I just wanted to extend some recent Fiddle Genre discussions to our Cellists. I think the cello is amazing - examples/tutorials!

YES, the cello can sound like a BIG FIDDLE!
I pay attention to cello playing techniques & have enjoyed cello workshops at Fiddle Hell (even though I don't own a cello), because I believe it helps me play better on lower strings (5-string Viola & 5 to 6-string Violin).
I know its harder to play faster with good tone on lower strings - that's why a video like this should be inspiring to more than just cellists!
Anna Tam plays the "Fairy Boat Hornpipe" beautifully on CELLO! Some similarities to the "King of the Fairies".
This probably has an alternate name, or 2... maybe I'll look later.
Anna plays "nyckelharpa, cello, hurdy gurdy, viola da gamba, piano, tagelharpa, lyre, vielle, drums (and others)"! Plus she sings & writes songs.
Anna plays many other tunes, like this beautiful Swedish Slangpolska, "Ljunggrens Låga" by Nile Bernhard! Ljunggrens Låga - Violin sheet music (needs to be transposed lower for cello).
...nice to know how great these sound played fast, but doesn't meant they have to be - consider other Celtic & Nordic fiddle tunes, here on the forum, for playing on cello.
