Thanks to all of you for the suggested download programs, and for the time you all put into researching it for me. I have been using Realplayer, and You Tube Downloader, both successfully while internet speeds are up to scratch ... ie ... midnight to 6am. It's the other times it's hard to download. And I've tried to download the programs you suggested (Dave and Terry), and they take hours just to get them, usually timing out before they're near completion.
The best I can do is visit my son's house and use their free wi-fi, that usually works best.
If you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.

Maybe you just went over your peak hours bandwidth limit. That's certainly what it sounds like to me because you said you have no issues from midnight to 6am (off peak hours are generally around midnight til 8am).
Maybe upgrade your internet plan so that you can download more GB per month, I think upgrades aren't too expensive. Should be a couple of bux extra per month <-- I'm not too certain, you'll have to check on that. But when our bandwidth wasn't enough for us (30 GB/month) we just kept upgrading until we didn't need any more (now we have 50GB/month). Unfortunately I don't actually know the prices related to these values but I'm pretty sure it was alright.

Chinny is right, I do have broadband, though it's not fast at the best of times. My plan gives me 2GB, then slowed to dialup, when I have faster speeds overnight. The next plan up is 50GB, and I really really can't afford that. I was thinking of getting a pre-paid dongle to top up when we go over, but that's just another expense.
If you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.

Telstra, the plan is a bundle, and the next step is 50GB. I've always steered clear of them until I got this bundle, works well, until I want to download FM's videos.
Do you live in a rural area where Telstra is the only option? I know iinet has other options but if you live far from the city then Telstra might be the only one who covers for your area. But yea if it's really bad you might want to consider switching service providers. But for now just stick with blaming fiddlerman jks jks dontkillmeeeee!

Hi all! Lots of posts I missed here...
Robyn if you have broadband you shouldn't have any problem downloading these MP3s from this site or you could just download the midi files instead which are tiny.
I would call your broadband service cause they may be ripping you off. I know some providers put what is called a throttle on service until the customer complains and they can reset it for you. Or what kind of computer do you have? What operating system? Realplayer should work just fine. Do you have their current version? You don't need a third party program to download files normally just right click and select download and stuff like that then open up Realplayer to open the files to play. Need to know what's going on with your computer maybe?
And Chinny... You funny and creative. I think everyone luvs ya here And welcome all new members.
