Thanks for the advice MGN, but I know what the problem is ... my shallow bank balance.

I'll be reset on Tuesday, so will be downloading lots of videos.  Then I'll probably be straight back to dialup ...

Creative, the euphemistic word for crazy, at least life's more interesting this way. clap Haha oh Robyn, most people will try and save their downloads til a couple days before their internet resets so that in the mean time they can enjoy higher speeds for the majority of the month.

Don't you guys know how to make the gunshot noises on your fiddles?

roflol I tried to fix that but every time I convert the midi files it comes out that way. Real strange and I don't want to waste more time on it since it doesn't matter that much.

I only thought this was similar to the 1812 Overture to get audience attention.

The real mystery remains tick track tempo?  (I notice that the faster the tempo, the shorter the piece smile

I'm pretty sure that it will be 60 bpm Oliver. Here is a tip. Practice it for a few days at 65 and drop the tempo later during the week. Let me know how that goes.

cheers

I think we'll shoot for the last week or two in November. I want people to get ready and try to hitch on a few extra players too.santa3

my friend said she would try :) i'm giving her the sheets monday.  i'm not sure which part she'll pick.  she could probably play Violin1 if she had time to practice but i'm not sure. i'll try to show her videos of how you want the parts played too. :)

Hi. I found this site when looking for a violin to start on and it has been a great help. I started playing on the 10th of this month (October). I would like to play the violin 4 part if that is OK. From what I can tell the higher the number of the violin part the less complicated? Thanks

Welcome Fiddle 43 cheerleader Yep that's right, violin part 4 is the least complicated. The more people taking part in the Christmas Project, the better :)

Welcome Fiddle 43,

Does that mean you are 43 years old? We have lot's of people here that have taken up the fiddle late. I think we have someone in there 60's as well learning to play. I'm a firm believer that we can learn at any age if we are healthy and take the right approach both mentally and physically. I'm 48 btw. Feel like 18 though.

smile

As Chinny said, the more the merrier. Glad that you will be participating.
