Completely individual in my opinion. I think it would be cool if some people would dress Christmas like. For example, red or green color clothes with a red, silver, or gold colored ribbon. Would be cool if some people would have a Christmas tree in the background or any kind of Christmas decorations....

Let's make the date the 28th of November, that way you have your christmas decorations up and everyone gets an extra weekend to get it done if necessary. I'll be able to put it together during the week. (I hope)

Tell LeeAnn that I think it would be cool if she recorded one too. exactly

I don't want to sound like I am pestering you or anything, but you will put out the click track thing before November 28th right? I am asking because I had never even heard of one before seeing your project. I need time to record 2 million times with it to hopefully get one hopefully usable one. serenade  (you heard a sample of how I play, and that was after recording that at least 40 times frown)

On "Cheap eBay violins" … Just tell people they are like a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.  With a little love, and some practice, they too can be made beautiful.

RP, you can probably just use a metronome. and we'll have a little over another month so itll sound even better :)

but he might put up a click track. i dont know :)

It can be very distracting to play with a timing device and it doesn't matter if it's clicking, booming or any other sound.  Waiting for an official click track might be a regrettable delay when a regular metronome can help fill the gap.

The FM metronome is nice and at least one of the preset sounds is like a click note

Ahh ok, again sorry about my ignorance in such things. I misunderstood an above post and thought the click track was going to be posted and we would have a week+2 days to do it at a VERY busy time of year. If it's just a regular metronome recorded I won't panic too much...

I don't know when the click track will be posted but two weeks is not a long time for someone who is not used to it.  For veterans, it would be a minor issue.  And, of course, if someone is confident about the music already then timing becomes even less of a concern.

(My caution about all this is because I think a metronome performance strangles the otherwise expressive violin.  I hate metronomes except that I could understand their use for marching bands.)  And I also recognize that even the careful players on this forum need a way to synchronize.

I'll work on the click-track soon guys. Don't worry though. As long as you practice with a metronome at 60 bpm you will be fine with the click track.thumbs-up
