@frederica -

Welcome to the Fiddlerman Forum!

I admit to being a little excentric and a little concerned, because it just isn't any fun if the things I enjoy are no longer enjoyed by someone else when I'm gone.  Seven Grandchildren have put all my fears to rest. 😁

I love this thread.

My violin, 'Mortimer', has a dark antiqued, gunmetal finish - it is beautiful.  More than a tool, we have an intimate relationship - partnership.

Like any relationship, I prefer it to be harmonious! (lol)  It's a never-ending work in progress and I'm rewarded, even surprised, every day.

Everyone I associate with, recognizes this bond.  People close to you must recognize yours, also. 😊

I agree with you Frederica, I would like to think that my violin is played for centuries after I'm gone. Don't really think about it though.

Truth is that I hope all the instruments that we sell are played for many centuries, and in theory, there is no reason in which they should not be.
