First let me say that my practice sessions have been rotating between a dorean and major scale, swan lake and trying to improv over bluegrass. I had my second jam session since i started playing the violin, 3 weeks ago.
I played the guitar the first song and the harmonica the second to settle my nurves. The third song was Wait so Long from trampled by turtles. I was a hair flat on one section and i fumbled my way through the solo's. After the song, i didn't feel that it went that well. But to my suprise, in unison, the two of the others said, "lets do that again".
I was a little shocked. That's when I heard it. "You nailed it". For those of you who have not played with anyone else, that is the best three words you can hear. Upon their request, I think we played that song 4 or 5 times.
Yea it's nice when your wife says you are getting better, but if you have the chance, play with others. It's great.
