I am almost a senior citizen, new to violin. I tried to take lessons at at a local music school but they could not put me in at a time that was convenient for me. So I bought an inexpensive violin and am learning online with your Fiddlerman videos on You Tube and with a few books purchased at a music store.
I am making progress since January 2011 !! I try to practice at least 15 minutes a day.The squeaking has become less.

Hello,
I played violin for 10 years in the past. My teacher was a classical musician, I played with music sheets all the time. Then for 17 years I stopped playing. Recently I joined an Irish music local band, and suddenly I'm trying to play Irish-fiddle style.
I'm really enjoying the adventure, but this is something new to me. I can play by the ear, without music sheets, but I have some problems when I try to enrich the main theme with double strings, etc. So I was browsing the net, looking for my life-rescue (I mean music sheets ) and I came across this forum.
Does any of you have Irish fiddle music sheets (Moly Malone, Irish Rover, etc, etc, etc) that can share with me?
Thank you so much
Joana
