This is a great tune to play. It sounds great slow, especially if you play the video ill link and then play along with. A cello drone would work too. ill link a copy of the sheet music from thesession. Youll need to use this one or at least one that has the D key signature. ( Edor )

@ABitRusty -
Ooo, Ooo, Ooo - I forgot I had this on my list!!!
Fabulous for VIOLA!!!
Thanks for suggesting this tune!
Great video of Brendan O'Regan's "Autumn Child" - shared by 'Tunes from Doolin'! Tola Custy (VIOLA) & Cyril O'Donoghue playing.
There's actually quite a few nice 'Autumn' & 'Pumpkin' tunes listed at thesession.org to check out!

@ABitRusty -
Thanks for letting me know you modeled your playing after Lúnasa's version of 'Autumn Child'!
You captured it perfectly!
(Post 212 - "Random stuff from the fiddle cave" Thread)

yes i think id have to say lunasa was inspiration. I winged the chords though so i think what i chose was darker? idk..its just what came out when i started messing with it. that tune also has been on our"concert" a couple of times. I can still hear her saying shhh.. dont dig in so much.. on that B part walk up to open E. come to think of it.. i should play it better lol
I like it slower like i played but next im gonna dust of heatons chapel and see where im at on that. i made one of those recordings of it a while back, but think, hope, smoother and faster now. then pair the two. plans..ill see how it goes.

I ran across 2 completely different tunes called "The Autumn Wind" - like them both!
Football Fans familiar with this one on the Fiddle? Played by Jason Fritz (ESPN)!
Wow, stupid Raider licensing blocked the video, but you can watch it on YT!
Nice little tune for Cello (or Viola), composed by George Streicher!
There is a beautiful piano piece by Akiko Inagawa called "Autumn Wind" - thought it would sound wonderful on violin. She actually has a book with 10 more pieces related to it - there are YT videos of each & I love them all. You can purchase downloads of the individual pdf's, but I found the whole book can't be shipped to the US (Germany).

I LOVE this time of year!
...cooler weather invites people to gather closer around fires, enjoy spiced cider, warm soups/stews & (of course) good music, while nature's color palette changes.
In hopes of getting members to browse the forum's 'Genres' section...
From Trolska Polska - "The Witch's Brew". My family always calls my hot spiced cider punch, "The Witch's Brew", so hope I'm staying on topic (?)
I can't understand why there isn't a 'Michigan Apple Festival' Fiddle Tune there are a zillion Cider Mills & Apple Festivals all over Michigan! ...yeah, I'll get right on it.
...wish I knew if there were more folks playing by ear, I'd say have a little fun playing along with this video: W.I.T.C.H. by Devon Cole (Canadian Pop singer) - amazing to find someone nowadays using clean lyrics! ...I used to be a W.I.T.C.H., think the fiddle & viola ruined that for me - I'm now under their spell.
I just found out Lúnasa (the band) - it's name is another word for 'Lughnasadh', the Gaelic Festival for the beginning of harvest (usually the 1st of August).

Maybe something good to curl up with on the Violin, or VIOLA (or Cello) this Autumn.
@ABitRusty - did you only want tunes in this thread with 'Autumn' in the name? I can remove this.
"Ghost"
[Justin] Bieber explained that his objective with the creation of "Ghost" was to "make people feel like there is hope and that the trauma and the hurt that you feel isn't gonna last forever". ...Jon Bellion, who was involved in the songwriting and production of "Ghost", also explained through a tweet that he wrote the song about his late grandmother.
VIOLA Play-along Sheet Music (EasyViolaLesson) Original & slow speed.

Ran across this one , by Peakfiddler - in the Cajun Fiddle Thread!
"Autumn Waltz"
Here's a violin tutorial for an obvious choice... "Autumn Leaves", from Jason Anick!

...new Autumn tune on my list, thought I'd share some tutorials for it, too!
"The Beauties of Autumn" - Dervish version.
"Part A" Tutorial by Mossie Martin!
"Part B" Tutorial by Mossie Martin!
Sheet music & info at thesession.org "The Beauties of Autumn March" (Hornpipe).
...idk, maybe they can't make up their mind if it's a March or a Hornpipe.
