Everyone have special plans for playing your Fiddle, Viola or Cello outdoors this Summer?
Up in Nictau, New Brunswick (Canada) - Fiddlers know how to have fun! (Canoe & Kayak Magazine)
...hope I can find a nice day this Summer when I don't feel too bad - maybe Kevin can help me get outside to play my Mortimer for a bit. I like my neighbors, but doesn't mean I wouldn't have fun torturing them!

I'll be out by the American River Bike Trail whenever it's not too hot out. (Not this week, we're looking at a heatwave with temperatures up to 110, and I only have acoustic instruments.)

Just wanted to say it's been pretty rainy this Spring & Summer, in my area!
Was a pretty big ordeal, but I'm glad I got to go out for a day and play a couple tunes for the Party Room while I was at it.
I knew it was going to be a bit breezy by the water, but really had no clue I would be sprayed with water or almost lose my bow to the wind.
Thought my bow was just a 'stick'.
...let's just say if I was ever lost at sea on a raft, my one wish would be to have that 'stick' with me (maybe the violin, too). 😎 I'd tighten the hair, hold it up in the wind and I'd make it to some shore in no time! 💨😳
So, I can't believe there aren't more Fiddlers, Violists & Cellists out and about - with their instruments in tow!

I'm in the middle of a short vacation right now at a cabin in Marin County. I'm not taking my viola to the beach as sand and seawater are especially bad for wooden instruments, but I've been playing out on the deck in the late afternoons.
