Just watched Fiddlerman's latest video on protecting left hand (and right hand) fingers using special gloves, shot with his friend Eddie's help. Absolutely hilarious! If you only watch one FM video, make it this one! Very cleverly done, makes you think Eddy is really playing the violin with gloves on! LOL

This guy is hilarious,hehe.Great video
Funny thing though, during the winter i actually tried playing wearing fingerless gloves myself, because my fingers are way too sensitive to low temperatures...cold fingers=cranky playing.Left hand was a disaster, but i had no problem with the bowing hand..so i managed to keep that one warm at least!
Also i noticed that wearing some sort of thin cuff-glove thingie, the type that just covers the palm with a hole for the thumb, made of thin soft material, made my sliding from first to third position much easier...or maybe it was just counter-balancing a sloppily over-varnished violin neck?Ah well.
