I just want to say thank you for your videos and website. I just started learning the violin a couple weeks ago at the age of 25 and your site has been pretty much teaching me everything. I would donate or pay but I am a broke college student studying physics and engineering, so no money or time. :P Thank you though for your time in creating this site. It means a lot.

No donations ever necessary. It's my pleasure to help and I'm very happy to hear it. Thanks

This post caught my eye, as I am also a broke college student who is studying physics (was originally going to study engineering but fell in love with physics!)

I must join this engineering and physics club :) I study mechanical engineering and I can't afford to pay a violinteacher. This site, and this forum is amazing and have helped me alot.

I got really lucky and had a friend who decided to lessons from some music school community thing in the area. He told me that if you tell them you're kind of low on money, they'll knock some money off the lessons, and the professor absolutely loves giving lessons so while paying for a half hour, he goes a full hour (although you usually get 15-20 minutes of stories, which are always very entertaining).

They offer a violin class here at the university, a one credit class taught by the same professor, but sadly you have to be a music minor or major to take it. Otherwise I could have free lessons! if As long as you're a full time student, any credits over 12 are no charge.
