can you tune a violin if you have never done it before and never played? or do i have to get someone to do it for me?

You know for strings the tighter it is, the higher the note right? as long as you know how to twist pegs and the lil fine tuner knob, follow fiddlermans example on tuning violins, you should be fine. Since your ear is probably not trained yet, if you have a smart phone you can use a tuning app to help guide you. Fiddlerman has some reference notes that you should tune to called violin tuner under his learning tools tab. thumbs-up
