On my stand: Hymns of the Nativity, Volumes 1&2, arranged by Catherine McMichael (violin duets). And Mozart violin concerto in G (K.216), but it is on hiatus until the beginning of the year.
AndrewH: wishing you well with your physical therapy. I’ve done it more times than I can count. Take your time, & do it right to get healed.

@AndrewH -
Just listened to "William Grant Still's 1st Symphony" - it sounds super fun! I realize if only playing the violin or viola part, you miss out on some of the fun, unfortunately. Do you ever play some of the other instrument's solos, anyway - just for yourself?
My music stand is still in the box.
This week, learned "Valssi Jaanalle" - need a few days to really get it memorized without listening to the video. Having fun with "Valssi" (Pihlaja). Tried out "Tiempo De Vals" in the key of the video, but it's much easier in a couple other keys (think sounds just as nice). Polishing Casey Willis' version of "Cuckoo's Nest" (still only playing at .8 speed) and working on his "Bella's Waltz". Always trying to keep my fingers current with the strathsbeys, jigs/reels and many of the Cecile Corbel pieces I enjoy.
Daughter showed the Grandkids my submission of "Let it Snow" and one of them got all excited & yelled "is that Christmas music?".
Now I'm feeling really guilty for not practicing other Christmas music... less than 2 weeks!

Once in a while -- sometimes, where the viola is playing a harmony line, I even like to challenge myself to play the melody with the viola part in double-stops. Not so much lately because of limited practice time.
I don't feel like I'm missing out if I just learn my parts, because I usually have a lot on my musical plate. Both my regular orchestra and the virtual orchestras I've played in during the pandemic tend to expect people to learn music very quickly.

My teacher stated I was to comfortable with the last song I was working on even though I had two lines that need lots of work, then the whole thing polished for performance, she insisted I start working on this song while I finished the other.

Mark, that’s really great and so beautiful piece. It’s also on my to do list, I have already printed the sheet music for it.

Currently have Czardas on my music stand. Been working on it for a while now. Been stuck on the Artificial Harmonics section for a couple of months, until today I wasn't able to get it to sound right without a Tourte mute on; I got a new upgraded instrument.
@Fiddlerman Thanks for the amazing setup on that MJZ 909 or I should say thank the luthier who worked on it..he did an excellent job! Received it today at 1 pm. I just put it away after 9.5 hours of practice. Time fly's when you are having fun.

Sounds like you're starting the New Year off pretty well!
Love that piece, brings out the "Gypsy" in everyone!
I recently posted a new video on Artificial Harmonics in my "Roman Kim" thread - might be of some help to you.

Still have Brahms Violin Sonata No. 1 on my music stand. It's taking a long time to learn because injury is still limiting my practice time. Also, the Bach G minor violin concerto (reconstructed), which I recently printed off IMSLP to sight-read, and Rebecca Clarke's "Morpheus", because I thought I should ease into viola solo repertoire with a shorter and easier piece rather than jump straight back into working on Walton.
I'm expecting to get music for my next virtual orchestra project (on viola) soon.
