This is a pic of my new 'green screen' setup.

And as 'Norbert' once said, "If if ya gunna do it, ya gotta do it right." :)

I gotta get a set up like this. Love the effect. I can just imagine all the "places" the Scratchy Sisters could play...Carnegie Hall, in front of the Taj Mahal, on the Great Wall of China, outer space.

The possibilities are endless. dazed

Gosh.. I am envious of all the Green Screens.  I have a spare room... and I have some birthday $ coming up.. hum....

I wasn't really planning on doing much recording anymore.  It has been too stressful.  But now that you mention some of those places... I could really be happy playing in front of The Eiffel Tower or somewhere in the Scottish Hills, castles...

Oooo the prospect is so exciting.   :)  I discussed this with a friend the other day.

I have grand daughters that come over.. we could have fun with that too. (seeking further justification).

hmmmmmmm..

@KindaScratchy  @coolpinkone

Diane, Toni.

Its lots of fun for not a lot of money.

But you don't even have to spend AU$110. (It's even less in US$)

Just some green cloth and a couple of work lights from your local hardware shop. That would probably come out at less than US$50.00 :)

But the purpose made gear for the price is a good way to go

And you can use 'video' backgrounds that make it even more realistic. That's what I did with my 'Skye Boat Song' video.

After watching it again I wish that I had have played it better. rofl

Go for it. thumbs-up

I'd happy to give any help that I can

Thanks for the tips, John. Those sound like good cost saving options.

BTW, I have used the green screen effect before, though I don't have my own set up. I found that it's important that your green screen is very smooth otherwise the chroma-key effect isn't applied evenly. It sees the shadows caused by wrinkles as a different color and doesn't apply the background image/video in those spots.

And, I'm sure you know this, but maybe other folks don't: you can't wear clothing the same color as the background or your body will be invisible.
