Here are audio files for 6 sets of strings so you can hear what they sound like.

I have to give you props for tyring out SIX sets of strings. I typically barely have the patience to put on ONE set (and there may be some bad words said along the way).

How long did you "break in" each set for?

I agree whole heartedly . Also hard to compare sound without playing any song, especially on string set's which barely cost more than a gallon of gas.

dunno

Christine, I kept each set on for 2 1/2 days.  Put on the strings in the afternoon, practiced with them, retuning twice, practiced with them all the next day at least 8 hours, retuning as necessary, then the next day retuning and writing out my thoughts and making the audio,  then on to the next set  of strings.

thumbs-up wow... yes.. very impressive your documentation and testing of the strings.

How soon until you know what strings you will use.. like your Forever strings.  And of course I believe you will probably have a different string for each violin?

Good luck with your testing and violin journey.pink-violin-girl
