Haaaaaaaaaa!  This was so freakin funny I actually laughed out loud,,,, but just in case,,, let me please say that I certainly hope this was a hoax and that the bow really is NOT possessed by demons, but if that IS the case,,, I really feel badly for laughing at your expense cdennyb!

I opened the thread though in hopes of seeing/hearing a legitimate review!

I am still laughing!  That was hilarious.  First I thought, "What the heck is this cat doing?!"  Then the punchline and I about fell out of my chair!!  The bow is spoiled-rotten!!

I dunno what you were thining when you made this...-still laughing-, but this is quite possibly my favorite vid now!

@TerryT: Yeah, it's different here. I bet you'll really enjoy your cf bow. It won't be affected by the humidity like a wooden bow.

Oh my, I just read the thread.  They are talking prices more expensive than my car.  I feel more home here.

I have 2 cheap chinese bows that aren't too bad but they are heavy. Total cost, something like $20 for 2. What a deal...lol

I have the CF bow which is about $60 and worth every penny.

I've seen bows valued at thousands and to be honest, unless I've been playing for 20 yrs professionally I probably wouldn't notice any difference. lol

Heard it stated a few places that the bow should be worth about 30-50% the value of the violin. I guess it is very critical to the clean production of sounds. I like the lighter weight bow, the CF one, because it weighs the same as my Pernambuco one (90 yr old bow) and to be honest sounds the same as well... maybe something to do with the weight.

I enjoy reading up on such stuff. Interesting subject. Even the modern day hand made bows are very expensive.cheers

Waitaminute!  30-50% of the violin price...what if my violin was free.  Does that mean I get a bow worth double the price at half the cost?  I like this math! lol

thumbs-up
