Mmm, OK. I missed it. Finally found the section, "Fiddlerman" that has the proprietary offerings. Bummer... Well I have heard good things about the Glasser bow, and the price range was where I was comfortable (Buy the best you can afford). I see it has been shipped so I'm anxiously awaiting delivery. Will give a report on it after I get to play with it a while. Now a bigger question is which rosin should I season it with? I realized too late (after it was shipped) to ask for recommendations (for a equal quality rosin) to include with the purchase (hint hint Pierre)..

I was curious if anyone has played the fiddlerman cf bow and compared it to say the Coda Luma bow? I know the price difference is huge, but sometimes the performance difference isn't ....

I have two FM CF bows and a Codabow Prodigy. I have also played the Codabow Diamond NX (liked the Prodigy better.) I would say that the Coda is a better bow, but considering it's 4 or 5 times more expensive, that's no surprise. I don't think the Coda is 4 or 5 times better though.
The Luma is a very light bow, and if that's what you're looking for and you don't mind spending the money, I don't think you'd be disappointed in the quality of the product. I would say that you should try one out for yourself before plunking down $500 for it, because nobody but you can determine what will work best for you. If none of the shops in you area carry them, there are online places that will ship you one or more bows to test out and allow you return them if you don't like them. Also, make sure that whomever you get it from is a licensed distributer or the warranty will be invalid.

Hi @Uzi ,
Thanks for the thoughts. I have played the Luma a bunch (Borrowed for about 2 weeks and had a ton of gigs) and didn't realize how much I liked it till I went back to my old bow which I felt was soft and squishy ... anyway I was curious at the comparison of the luma and the Fiddlerman bow ...

@fiddlinsteudel,
Well, considering that the Luma is designed for specific playing styles and you like it, I'd say go for it. The FM CF bow is more a generic shape, balance and weight.

Well I've only tried the Coda lineup of bows, so I feel like I want to try out some more bows before I throw down 500 dollars.

@cdennyb I have made two attempts to order from them over the few years. Once I thought I was on a list.. but apparently not, then another time quite a while ago I added myself to another list but still no word.
You must be lucky...well I am lucky also since you have shared.

I just rosined up the Fiddler Man CF Bow and tried it. WOW!! This bow is awesome, can't wait to install the Preludes and hear my electric sing. Thank you Fiddlerman for offering such an awesome bow for the low price. I'll try and have a video up soon, but my schedule is really tight for the next month.
