Thanks for the post. As far as normal is concerned, it is normal that they are far from perfect. We gave up trying to get perfect "Concert" violins. We are continually impressed by the sound vs cost and are super happy to offer them at that price. They are the "Fiddlerman" violins that have the most hand/rough made look of all.

That is a handsome instrument. I'd be proud to hold one of these. "Imperfections" give additional character to each violin I think.
