This is not a bowed string, but it is Fiddlershop. If it was not a Fiddlerman Signature Concert Ukulele Outfit, I would not be reviewing it here, because it is not a bowed string.

I received my Fiddlershop Ukulele yesterday. It is really nice.

I also ordered the Ukulele Christmas book they sell. I didn't really want a Christmas book for Ukulele, but it has strums and chords shown, so I bought it, too. I have also ordered a couple books from Amazon by publishers I have used violin, viola or cello instruction books from. 

The ukulele is beautiful and seems to be very sturdy and well made. Kudos to Fiddlershop. The gears for tuning work really well. The nylon strings are very soft in the fingers and easy to use, It has to be tuned a bit because they are new nylon strings and nylon stretches, no different than nylon strings on a guitar. Mine are now holding tune better, and it has not even been 24 hours. I do have to tune about every half hour, but, for now that is about my limit anyway, it will be longer sessions when I get the official lesson books. 

It sounds great. 

My plan, is to learn the ukulele and use it to record "click" tracks for my cello, viola and violin pieces, and hopefully, some nice background or fill for those instrument pieces, too. We will see.
