Don't drop your bow, vertically, to land right on the edge of the tip!

How many times did you have to "drop" it to get it to do that?

wink

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

At least it broke in a good place, easy to repair if the bow is worth it. Line up the two pieces and cut a joint into both then splint and glue.  You can do it and then you'll have a spare bow.

Hi TerryT,

Wow, what a coincidence, just a few days before I broke my bow, I'd ordered a CF bow from the Fiddleshop too.

I'm sorry to hear you broke your bow but I'm happy to hear that you're not left bowless.

Maybe we start a club/band and call ourselves, "The Bow Breakers" LOL!   clap

It could be an expensive club to join.
Fortunately is was the cheapie supplied with my Chinese student violin and not the other one I am looking after.

Makes me think about ensuring these items ate listed on my house contents insurance!

What the hell, lol; yeah, it's like an epidemic,,, must be that moist air!

So sorry to hear the news Terry, but yeah, you've now got a brand new CF which you could probably roll your car over and still play with.

I think you should probably tie a cord onto your bows that you could put over your nect,,,, you know, like those drinking cups you Brits use to go from pub to pub,,, it's on a cord so you always have something to drink from.

Haha, like a kid who has his gloves joined on a string which passes up his sleeve and thru the back of his coat!!

I still have that type of gloves with the string and one has an L and the other an R, not sure what that means though.
