So one of my favourite Aussie bands, The Living End put the Stray Cats as one of their main bands as inspiration. SO checked them out and immediately loved Stray Cat Strut.

If I had an ear for music I could put the tune stuck in my head down, but instead it endlessly bounces around in my head.

Do any of you guys know of any violin sheet music for it? Even just the main riff from the upright double bass.

here is the youtube link, sorry best version was one talking about spaying and neutering cats......

Many many thanks for even a hint.

Btw could I just get the bass tabs and convert them to violin?

Cool song from awhile back, '79'.

Here is some sheet music I dug up for the song, "Stray Cat Strut",, not sure if this is what you're looking for though.

That is the right thing. But I was hoping for a violin version...

Why they have piano I don't know. Maybe that is the orchestra version.

Sound weird with the piano if you play the notes.

I really only want to mess around with it. $5.50 is a bit steep for me still having to transcribe to violin.

But thanks for the help.

The notation is all wrong but check this out:

You can easily write it out correctly using some aid from this video.

Thanks man. This is exactly what I wanted. Surprised old google didn't throw this up when I looked.

I will probably only use the bass notes for that dunduhn, duhn kinda back beat you hear and sticks in your head. Plus I think the guitar parts might be a little over my head....
