Been finding really great fiddling every day lately, but I'm still amazed by very helpful older videos, too!   ...and it's NOT A.I.!

Adam DeGraff did a whole series of tutorials for a challenge he put out back in 2017 - for fiddlers to learn the Guns & Roses song, 'Sweet Child O'Mine'!

Some very helpful tips in these (check out Adam's YT Channel)!

SCOM Tutorials - 10 video playlist!

Just a sample:

Here's the 1st SCOM Tutorial to check out - everyone can do this!

Here's the 4th SCOM Tutorial.  Helps get guitar feel on the fiddle!

I remember watching his performance video of this some years ago--found it after watching the one he did for Don't Stop Believin'

YouTube Video - Adam Degraff – Sweet Child of Mine

@SharonC -

Thanks for those!

I remember running across his playing a few years back, but don't know why I didn't notice the tutorials at that time (or I did & I'm just losing my mind).

Adam really is inspiring - makes learning seem easy, too!

It's amazing how much we can all learn by listening and how much free stuff is available to us. This was not the case 20 years or more ago. 🙂

@stringy -

Take a look at the tutorials & links to the rest (OP) - you should give it a go!

I haven't started on them yet, but will soon.

This is probably one of the main reasons why I've been able to learn now, and not when I was younger... still don't think I could've done it without this forum!

@stringy -

I think this will be a great challenge!

I've put in an effort to play more boldly/confidently this past year, but admit I haven't done it to THIS extent!

Been too easy for me to get used to playing softly, which started out as being respectful to others (okay, maybe I didn't want to torture the cats)... became habit.
