I did it! I finished my first year on the violin! Well, January 22nd was a year, so I guess I'm a little late.
So to celebrate I thought I should post a video of me playing.
The pieces I played
Russian Sailor's Dance
Crystallize
Song of a Caged Bid
I also got invited to join my areas honor Orchestra as a 1st violinist. It was a great year! Hopefully this year will be even better.
(And maybe, just maybe I'll actually slide to the note I'm trying to get to)
You have got to be kidding,,, One year ? Young man, all ll I can say is,, Awesome, excellent, superb, I really enjoyed that. Very fine playing.

Well.... I finally let it download - I just had to hear it - 7 hours it took - no kidding -
NOW I get what the others are saying - impressive, and WELL DONE - you have a talent there ! Thank you for sharing that - and best wishes for your future choice of studies (as you mentioned in a separate post - absolutely well done ) !!!!

@makinnoise Which song? I spent about 2ish weeks on Crystallize (All of it, not just the segment I played), about a month on Song of the Caged Bird, and a week on Russian Sailors Dance.
oh yeah, guess I left that part out. Meant to say for Crystallize. I just found the sheet music for it. I think I will start working on it too. Great job on the bowing and string crossings, I could see that being a little tricky in the piece!
