Turn your speakers down, I think I recorded it a little loud!

http://youtu.be/ogeqbh5s8iE

I'd love to say it was a quick job but I think it was the best one out of about 30 attempts dunno

I don't like half the intonation but I was feeling the bowing much better than the last vid i think.

Hey, not bad there buddy....

Just like I did, wear out that tune and you'll have it perfect in no time. I think I played it like 500 times to get what I liked, and even today I still hit a weird 1/2 note sometimes. LOL

Love that violin, looks awesome... thumbs-up

Play along with these guys, that's what I did, really helped to keep the pace and hit the notes. Download it and you can 'loop it' on your player and just keep playing.

Cool!
Looks like you have "self-examination" sorted, but putting things right is maybe the hard part lol. ( and then something else crops up, ain't life a bi.. sorry, bugger!)
Your right hand looks a lot more fluid now, especially when you are certain of your note. And f you give some as a trio with the recording above you'll soon have al your intonation spot on.
cheers

Sam you're doing great.  Now it's time to tackle the rest of the tune.

Thanks Dennis I saved that video and plan on playing along with it.

you know the best part is about saving that video to your computer and playing along at night for hours of repetitious play?

You can do it in your underwear and they have to stay in their formal attire. LOL

Not terribleness.  I really like the control you bow with.  Thanks for Sharing... good luck and keep up the good NON-terribleness.  :)

You nailed the self criticism on the head....

Beautiful right hand all of a sudden. You've been working on it I can tell.

Dennis - Thanks, the vid will both be useful and so very depressing laugh

Terry, Pierre - I spent most of my school life taking criticism, whether it was wanted or not. I reckon I have a nac for applying it to my self. As I eluded to in my post the other day I have been working pretty much solely on bowing and bow hold. I am very pleased with it I have to say, gotta work on my left hand for some now though and hope the right looks after its self for a while!

Kevin - Thank you sir, I am working on the rest of the tune. However I have yet to play it all through without a great deal of horribleness. I will make a video of the whole tune one day. Most of my practice is going into happy birthday to you at the mo as my wife has her birthday in a few weeks and I want to be able to play it really nicely for her. Unfortunately I couldn't record that as she was about and it may have given the game away!

Naska - Thanks amuse

Coolpinkone - Thanks, but it was pretty terrible. Nothing wrong with being terrible though as long as you know it and strive to improve violin-student
