That's probably par for the course and an early learning effort.  Good start. 

I think I heard you complain about an errant left hand pinky.  If so, don't worry. It will come down or it won't.  I've noticed many good violinists having a similar affliction.

Thanks For the positive feedback Oliver, I also notice my left wrist was cocked at an angle. It's surprising what you learn from watching a video (including my use of Anglo Saxon dialect at the beginning, which might be ok for YouTube but I thought a little inapropriate for this forum so I deleted the original post)

I am amazed at how old people of my age are.....

IMHO I think videos are a superb teaching tool, better than a teacher in some ways.  "Instant replay" can't be beat smile

But that was my favorite part dancinbunny For whatever reason I thought you were from the Southern US and was surprised to hear your lovely accent.

The playing was pretty good, too - we share that errant pinky posture. Exercises anyone?
