Ten months and a week of learning to play the viola. I took advantage of being at our library's A/V Lab to use their green screen and recorded Blackest Crow.

@JohnG -

Take the Missus for a twirl - nice waltz!

Sounded great on your Viola!

Love the backdrop!
Think there's lyrics for this somewhere.

Thanks for sharing this tune!

...if you wish to move your performance to the "Waltz Party",

I'd gladly move my post, too.

Your viola playing is sounding so much stronger every time I watch one of your videos. I loved it. I love the sound of you viola, too.

@ELCBK - Thank you Emily, as I was searching for videos to determine the best tempo for this, I came across several with lyrics. I appreciate your offer to move this but I think I'll keep this thread here in Share a Video.

@mouse - Thanks, your comments, as always, are much appreciated. I have always liked the sound of the viola, and I sometimes get this one to respond with the sound that I love, too.

@stringy - Thanks, I think I've come a long way, but I've also come to realize how far I have to go!

you have come a long way, and we all have a long way to go, as I realised last night when I almost broke my violin in temper, quite sobering when you hear exceptional players, unfortunately most of us dont have five or ten hours a day to practice. I like trawling you tube and listening to the videos were they say things like one years practice and they are playing 5th and 7th position with perfect vibrato and intonation, extremely funny when people comment saying wow great progress, when they have clearly been playing for many years.

Like I said you should be really happy with yOur progress and playing.
