Bit of a disclaimer: this is a sound file which will hopefully play, i had to convert it from an ipad recording to upload it.  It starts out shaky so i'm sorry about that.

Also, i'm playing an EV plugged into ipod speakers (yikes) and my bow has hardly any hair left, i've ordered a FM carbon fiber one which should arrive Friday  So sorry about the sound quality.

I was looking yesterday for the film the devil's violinist and discovered it will be released (in the USA) in January.  YAY!  I saw it on youtube earlier in the year but that copy has since been removed.  Anyway, i'm happy it will be released here soon so i decided to give the carnival in venice a try.  Obviously i will never play it as good as David Garrett.   Here is the first piece; i am going to try the first and second variations when my new bow arrives, even though the second variation scared the beejeesus out of me.
