I picked up this little piece about two days ago. I love the sung version of it, and wanted to play it on violin. I have not been able to practice as much lately with not having a teacher and cycling across the country. I tried to add some violinisitic ornaments and bowings to the piece. My octaves are gone! I used to be able to do them quite well; now, my intonation suffers. Also, my harmonics are not as clear as they used to be. Ugh...violin playing is not like riding a bike. You can't just get back on it and expect everything to work as it used to in minutes. I wish I had a teacher. It's been 3 years. Eesh...  I played this on Fiddlerman's Apprentice Violin.

Great job,

Where are you now? Are you at someones house? Did you record with your computer? What background did you use?
I like the sound of the Apprentice :-)

This is quite gorgeous.  Thank you.  You sound great, and picked a lovely tune to share.   The Violin in your hands has a stunning sound.

Bravo.. take a deep bow.

Thank you.
