@Billyg got a little b modal part at the end...sneaky..lol. Like that..recorded something I'll put up later..
@billyg ...ok later now LOL. Heres my quick take on your sheet music. Took the liberty to start with the C part with a Bm drone then switched to Em drone for the whole thing. Just to see the difference in what sounds more of a fit with the C part if you can get past my playing. It starts slow but I speed up some after the Em drone kicks in...Sorry for the scratchy bow and mess-ups. Thought youd get a kick out of it.

Nice one ! Yeah, coming along well !
Thanks for taking up the challenge, cool ! Good man !
I like to mix that tune up with Scarborough Fair (A then B of Drowsy Maggie fairly fast, then the A part of S.Fair nice and slow.... then repeat... in fact - if there's a B part to S.Fair I probably don't know it !!! ROFL- goes off to find sheet D'Oh.... Ah OK thesession.org has a couple of variants - I just use the basic melody)

@Billyg so I havent experimented with an A drone Or F which would be something just guessing might fit..they probably all would at any point. There are some drone tracks on the main page here under learning tools to test if anyone interested.
Thanks @Mouse! This tune would sound great layered with some cello.... Just sayin'

@Mouse you could use @Billyg track he posted yesterday and maybe start with drawing a long E while it played or half notes..just experiment and see. His might be better due to the tempo being steady. I wandered around.... I know you would sound good. I remember you did post a clip and it was great! I haven't looked for any duos out there but I'm sure they are out there. A lot of times cello will also do a lot of chopping to these style tunes but I wasn't necessarily thinking in those terms.

@Mouse - I've just seen this - I've got something else to attend to at the moment - but I can very quickly simply transpose the parts for cello... the lead voice may be a tad fast for cello but certainly the vibraphone track could be turned into a cello bass line....
Let me get back to you with that....

@Mouse - here you go - I didn't bother transposing the violin lead-voice, I just took (and somewhat modified) the original vibraphone voice and transposed to cello...
It's just a "for example" - take it, modify it, correct it, make it feel the way you want it.
Here's a combined vln and cello score, and an mp3 (with a four bar drum-click intro to get you synched-up if you intend playing along...)
Enjoy.... and just ask if you want any changes made...
P.S. The .mp3 file will never sound great with the synthesized cello, but can sound absolutely HORRID on squeaky little laptop or phone speakers - if that's your set-up - use headphones if possible....

@starise - are your referring to the very first post in the thread, by @mookje ? If so, then yes, I've just checked myself - you're not alone - it appears she has changed it to "private", although sure, when originally posted it was available.
I know some folks do that - maybe share it for a while then either take it down or restrict access. Which is fair enough !
