Impressive playing while you're reading the music!
I haven't heard that tune, either.
Great that you are practicing rolls with your little pinky finger. I need to do that! I can only play fast rolls with my other fingers.
Planning on any Irish Christmas music? I started a "Celtic Christmas Music" thread.

Thanks Emily. I actually find it easier to play tunes when I read them. now that I associate the dots with where my fingers go, rather than remembering what notes they are I am starting to find the reading a lot easier, I think its because of years of reading guitar tunes with chords written above the words, which has made me see, say the chord of G as a shape instead of a series of notes, so my fingers automatically go to the correct place.
I am thinking of doing a version of silent night, might be fun, especially for those who hear it, may gi e them a laugh, which is what its all about.
I am a bit worried about billy g by the way.

I'm worried about Billy, too - but I PM'd him and he said (in chat also) he was just really busy until maybe the middle of January & he'd peak in once in a while.
Doesn't really feel right to me, but I'm not sure we can do much except wait because it really is a busy time of the year.
Silent Night would be great. I hope I can record something for everyone before the end of the year, too - we'll see.

Sounding good, stringy. I think having played guitar is a benefit for you, having learned to feel in your hand the chord patterns. I knew I was getting somewhere once I started to recognize the patterns (i.e., intervals) in the written music that I could associate to my left hand shape on the fingerboard.
Characterize people by their actions and you will never be fooled by their words.
