It's been a while since I posted as I have been crazy busy. Finally got a chance to sit down and pick up some sheet music. This is my first attempt at playing Lux Aeterna. I know I need lots of work on my intonation and techniques, but I was just feeling out the sheet music. I have a fresh set of D'Addario Preludes and installed a new tailpiece on the violin. Also, using Fiddlerman Carbon Fiber bow, that bow rocks!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I will be working on this for the next few weeks. I think Lux Aeterna is the perfect for getting my coordination down and I really need to work on my fourth finger. Sadly I deleted this video by mistake but had reuploaded it so I'll repost it now. I also created a backing track using Rosegarden and LMMS to create the midi file that I then exported into a standard .wav file for the video. Always use 24bit 48khz with audio to retain enough definition for final mixdown.

Fiddlestix, the second video is just a backing track that I created in a midi program called LMMS (Linux Multimedia System) I used Rosegarden to combine two .pdf files of the sheet music for cello and piano and the had to play around with the notes to get the timing right. Now I have a backing track that I can legally use on Youtube without fear of a copyright mark against my account.
