Always a delight when the esteemed PG has the opportunity to grace us with his supernatural presence.
I liked the movie, I own a copy, I've watched it more than once. It is a fun movie with some excellent playing in it and an entertaining storyline.. But it is really more a make-believe story than being actually about the life of Paganini. There are documentaries and books that are better for that.
Now for the entertainment of PaganinisGhost, I will point out that back when I was in college, the alleged "devil" connection wasn't even mentioned in music history. But "Who was the first music 'superstar'?" was, and the correct answer for the quiz was Paganini. When I took a class later on music marketing, it came up again that the first music superstar ever was Paganini, with some discussion on his promotion, marketing and media tactics.
Whether the devil was ever involved or not, I don't know. But in recent years, I think perhaps the devil gets way too much credit for Paganini's enduring impact on music.
"This young wine may have a lot of tannins now, but in 5 or 10 years it is going to be spectacular, despite the fact that right now it tastes like crude oil. You know this is how it is supposed to taste at this stage of development." ~ Itzhak Perlman

Ahhh, PG, good to see you make a presence again ! In spite of his churlish attempts to play your fine music ( OK - I see a horde of enraged FM members, led by Toni coming to get me for saying that - it was a joke, honest!! ), you must feel truly honored to have your music live on. Thank you sir,
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -
Please make your own, different mistakes, and help us all learn :-)
