Nice work @bluesviolin - interesting piece, and sounding good ! Thank you
Czardas is my nemesis... ( LOL I play BITS of it.... ( errr, like the "easy" bits...) one day, one day I'll get these stopped harmonics working right Hahahaha - I work from one of David Garretts videos - I won't re-post it here - but it's the one where he steps down, and sits on the steps to the stage and goes into that ghostly, ethereal stopped harmonics part.. blows me away LOLOL )
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -
Please make your own, different mistakes, and help us all learn :-)

Thanks all! ...first time I've recorded my no label China which I use mostly for busking. when I did the playback from the video cam it sounded very harsh and I thought 'what's going on, this fiddle sounds better than that' but when I played it back from the computer it sounded normal. it really likes Evah Pirazzi Gold strings and is very easy to play for long hours of busking. very happy with it.
I learned that from a Hungarian Gypsy Violin CD that I got from the Library. the CD listed it as a 2 song medley (does a medley hafta be 3 or more songs?) ...Sorrow Sunday and Old Czardas is what it said. I googled Sorrow Sunday for violin and it came up Gloomy Sunday, which had the same theme. Maybe they wanted to avoid copyright and called it Sorrow instead of Gloomy, I dunno.
one of the things I like about gypsy and is also very challenging, is they always seem to leaping up from 1st or 2nd position to 4th and 5th or higher.
