So I've been a fan of the band We Banjo 3 for a little while, followed their fiddler, Fergal Scahill's tune a day series back in 2017. He started it up again for this year, and about a week ago he posted that since their US tour was starting, he wanted people to collaborate with for his series. I had tickets to their local show yesterday, so decided, what the heck, I'd message him, be honest where I was with my playing, and let him decide if he wanted to play with a relative newbie.
He decided to give it a go, let me pick a tune that he didn't already play this year or in 2017, and after the show last night we did this video

:edit to now include the youtube link:
I only have access to his facebook post, he doesn't seem to be posting his series on youtube this time around, just facebook and instagram. I had thought of setting up my own phone to also record (just in case he decided he didn't want to use it, haha), but decided not to.
Anyway, no way could I have done something like this without doing things like playing on StreetJelly. Now I find I rather like pushing myself into situations that take me out of my comfort zone, and this was an opportunity to do that, so I jumped at the chance.
... side note, their show is full of energy and a great time. I'd recommend seeing them if you get the chance (and like a mix of Irish, folk and bluegrass music).

@Fiddlerman I questioned my sanity, haha, especially since I have rarely played with anyone, and haven't played with anyone at all in several months. He was very easy to play with, though. I think I did add a note somewhere between the A and B parts to keep myself from screwing up... I have a bad habit of playing what I hear, but wanted to focus on my part and let him play his, haha, so I do remember purposely adding something to keep me from losing my place.

@Pat His joy of playing music is very easy to see The whole band is like that, you can just see they are having a blast playing.
@BillyG Very true! I figured if I did ask and he said no, that was ok, but if I didn't ask then I'd just never know and would regret not having tried. Happy I did it

@DennisS Thanks, and yes, haha! The whole thing was so fun, so it was half happy about having played, half happy that I got through it. For some reason, that last repeat is when I worry the most about messing up, I don't think too much about that the rest of the tune. But whenever I record myself, or play on StreetJelly, that last repeat is where I worry, no matter how well I know the tune, haha.
