Nicely played! I've been using some Irish/Scottish tunes for the same reason. Playing around with flicks, rolls (get em right about 50% of the time haha) and slides. One of my favorites is King of the Faeries. I'm thinking about calling it something else, though :p

It's funny, I tried recording this video earlier without the hat... couldn't do it. Threw the hat on and hit helped me relax enough to get a decent-enough take, haha.

I know, it seems wrong that I don't, haha. My teacher didn't realize until she twisted her ankle and needed to wear a more comfortable shoe that all she had were cowboy boots, lol.

wow you sound so good! I love your video by the way! I find the fiddle tunes so much fun! I dug out my copy of Mel Bays' guide to fiddle and realized i'm missing the first CD 
I love classical pieces but fiddle pieces just get your heart beat pumping and feet a pounding with joy
