OK, any reason why the .avi files won't post with your text?

Did you upload them to youtube first?

I've learned so much from my mistakes that I've decided to make some more.

No I didn't, there's so little info on uploading, embedding things, etc. I guess we all just have to be stupid and wait for someone who's already done it to set us straight. I wasn't going to go thru all the trouble of setting up another you tube account.

Just FYI, all you need for a Youtube video is the link and the forum will embed it for you. For pictures like on Photobucket just click on the insert/edit image and use the direct link on the photo you want to use. Also if you upload directly to this site you might fill up Fiddlerman.com's server and the server might crash.Youtube is the best way to go. BTW what you just posted is not working.

I like it. Good posture, Cdennyb!

Nice relaxed right arm's fingers - but it will be more convinient for You if the pinky will be ON the stick and not behind =)

Good job! I have to say that has been the most challenging tune I have been trying to learn so far. I know have gone past the llulaby already, and that is where it gets tough :-P But, good job, I even heard some vibrato on some of the notes, not sure if you meant to play it, or if it was accidental, I cannot even produce vibrato yet, neither accidental or willingly, LOL.

Nice looking violin! keep it up!

Thank you Sir,

I sometimes catch myself doing that lately, having it on the inside allows more leverage to keep proper bow position at the bridge. I have to work on that I guess.

Yes, the vibrato was intentional, but that particular tune doesn't allow much time between string and note changes to do much.

Hey cd, not bad for a couple months but to me it seems you are trying to learn a little too quick. You're not in tune with the notes. Slow down man you're moving too fast ;-) Get your bowing wrist groovin' more. And use more bow pressure for dynamics. And work on timing your phrasing to feel the song. Your posture is good ;-)

will do mr myguitarnow... Thanks for the pointers.

Actually that piece has only been on my 'learning plate' for 3-4 weeks now. (You should've known that already Scott, being psychic and all.) LOL

Any chance of hearing and seeing you play... I'd like to compare so I can see the areas I need to work on. How long have you been playing or learning to play the violin?

Never heard of trying to progress too fast...guess I need to go back to scales huh?

Just blossoms, smelled pretty good out there and it was in the sun so the camera was taking better video... The sound dissipates away and sounds cleaner (?) and not so reflected as it does in my house with the solid walls and all, like your kitchen.
