Very nice Barry. How about a step by step how to? smile
Very cool indeed. Much nicer than the stuff that I have bought.

that's a $200 music station if I ever saw one... lol

Awesome work. if you play as well as you do woodoworking, you'll play with FM next Christmas.

That is one dang fine music workstation, Barry!

Nice looking, efficient, multi-purpose, well laid out.  I would call it a prime example of when a musician thinks on a situation and applies their experience to come up with a design and then uses some considerable care and skill to build a solution to the problem.

thumbs-up

I love it. The pencil holder was the best. How about a rosin holder that mounts the rosin so you just take the bow and run it over without having to hold the rosin.  Looks to me like you got that from a Yankee, because it is pure Yankee ingenuity.

Good one Barry,

I only have a matt black steel stand, but you have given me an idea for holding my tuner and I-Phone for when I am listening to click tracks.

They usually fall off the little ledge especially when I have a bucketload of music sheets on them too

I am amazed at how old people of my age are.....

Holy music stands, Batman!

That's quite an incredible stand you got there! I bet if you started making those, you could sell them for at least $200 each.

I've seen wood music stands sell for over $100. Just plain stands, not with all the fancy stuff you added to it.

Is it adjustable?

Barry, you inspired me!  I've been wanting a violin rack for a couple of months; actually ever since Kevin's urging to tinker with a few.  So I worked on this for about 3 weekends and finally finished yesterday!

Looks very good, Fred!  I like how you used violin scrolls for decoration.

This is probably going to be a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway.  What are the light colored circles along the front edge?   Are they a decorative accent or do they serve some purpose?

Thanks Daniel.

Lol; it's "bling" Daniel; they're inset mother of pearl finger buttons.  I just wanted to incorporate a few string instrument accents.

Wow, those are some seriously beautiful pieces of craftsmanship! clap

I didn't factor a music stand into my violin budget, but quickly realised I needed one. So, I've built my own. It's certainly not as fancy as yours, but it does its job – and I think I get MacGyver points for the construction...

Fred, that is a masterpiece. What a nice job, now you only need three more to fill it.

Beautifull work.

I've been a cabinet maker for 48 year's but this is what I use, not quite as sophisticated as Alma's.

Awesome music stands Barry and ftufc!  Must take a lot of patience!  Would love to do something like that one day and make a violin as well :)
