Marikoli, I did the opposite of what you did and changed from Dominant to Vision. What is your impression of the change so far?
For me, the vision strings are far superior and break in much quicker.

Hi @Fiddlerman!! Well for me the change has been good so far. But I have to say that I had my Vision strings for 1 year. I don't remember how they played at first because I was doing all sorts of things wrong as a complete beginner. :-) The last months things are getting better and I really liked my previous Vision strings. Now that I put on the Dominants I notice a huge difference. They seem to be much easier to play, I don't have to press so much into the strings. It's easier now to play. So that's a major plus for me.

The only things is that I don't know if it is because of the Dominant strings being better for my violin or because my old strings were just way to old... Maybe if I put on new Visions they would probably be much better than my old Visions too. I'm too new for all this. It was the first time I changed my strings. :-)

One thing I do notice is that my strings still go out of tune every day (after 2 weeks using them). With my Visions sometimes for weeks I didn't have to re-tune them.

I read somewhere that there are different types of Vision? Which one are you using now?

We put the normal Vision strings on our Holstein violins but Titanium is fantastic and smooth as well and supposedly more durable.
I haven't made a comparison of all the Vision strings.
Have yet to test Vision Solo or Vision Titanium Orchestra.

I have tried both Vision Solo and Infeld Red. Warmer range than Dominant.

Vision Solo sounds clearer or more focused than Infeld Red.

Infeld Red sounds richer but, to the shop staff I spoken to, blurry.
