I'm posting this file for Oliver who is unfortunately having problems with getting it done on his PC.

I need a rest !

Today I set up for a big recording session with everything tweaked just right and I did very well on the music.  At the end of the session I noticed that I had forgotten to push the RECORD button dazed

I think I will just hang back and watch for other brave souls to post something ?

You're certainly correct but, right now, I have really been mainly interested in testing out my new recording device.  An Olympus VN 8100 PC.  So far so good but I'm going back and try it out at the highest quality (lowest memory) setting.

It may all be academic as I am unable so far to post MP3's except as QuickTimes and that plays every time anyone boots the topic ( no auto play shut-off as in FLASH options).  FM posted "May" for me but that is not good for the future.

On the music side, I have developed a strange problem.  Unable to keep rosin on the bow.  I can run out in the middle of a piece and begin skating all over the place.  I do have a new set of Black Diamonds (steel) on that violin.  Also, I think my playing style has become more aggressive since watching the FM videos……
not rosin friendly smile  I have 6 bows so I hope I can work out the problem duncecap

Good idea !

You just reminded me.

I have Magic Rosin dark somewhere.  Maybe that would help ?  Did you ever use that ?

I will be glad to get some cello rosin if the MR dark doesn't help.

PS Found MR "dark" but it really is not very dark and it is only labeled Magic Rosin #2.  Will try it later.

Scroll down at link for MR discussion if you haven't seen this.

Thank You !

This is "open mic" you know so you can post whenever the spirit moves you.

(It seems that people using video cameras are having good luck posting clips.  I am having problems with MP3 but they may work for you.)

I tried MR #2 today and I was really surprised.  I'll give it a try for a while with the cello rosin as backup.

The odd part is that #1 and #2 are the same color so I ran for a magic marker before I got them mixed up!

This music is a miracle ... ( not the music ) ...... I figured out why QuickTime would not respond to AUTO PLAY settings and I am willing to make this information available to the PH foundation for a very reasonable fee.

Meanwhile, the attached music is only some racket caused by my out of control neighbors.

I just had a very sneaky suspicion and I updated my Adobe FLASH.  It was about 18 mos. old.
That did not help with FLASH but I did not have any FLASH files (FLV) to upload and I think FLASH works on those.  However,  on QuickTime with MP3 I now have a full page of options just like I saw on the FLASH screens before but could never use.

Now, I can give up my trouble-shooting and continue to prep my Bach piece which is inspired by your "Young Pierre" Bach video.  (My Bach is just a "little" simpler.)

Yeah, times are tough so, instead of money, I will settle for a new title  dancing

So how did you save the QuickTime file? What settings did you choose?

Do you really want a better title than Honorary Tenured Advisor? I'll need help from everyone for this one. wink

At first I laughed but heck, why not?

I'll have to change all my "Congratulations to Whatstheirnames" for reaching 100 posts topics then.... rofl

Not sure how much you want but here's my routine.

Browse with camera

Upload file

(big) BROWSE tab find uploaded file and click it.
Goes to URL on main page

Choose QUICKTIME.   GO to ADVANCED tab. Two options are already checked CONTROLLER and AUTOPLAY.  I only uncheck AUTOPLAY.

I have not explored the other options but it looks "loaded" with good stuff.

On second thought I'm not sure I want you collecting second opinions for what I should be called dazed

I've been doing it on and off for about 5 years.  Only had a teacher for first few months so I was not very consistent in my approach.  Teacher said I just was not serious enough and she was totally correct dancingdancingdancingdancingdancing
