Seeing if this will work, had pj's on....so just tried audio - although prob would have made for funny one, dog on chair begging me to stop!
Anyways was trying to play along and see how many notes I could match, hopefully more than I missed, and trying to get some timing going - I thought playing along would keep me steady, but I didn't know how to turn the backing song down lower and still hear it to play along - sounds a bit weird like Im playing in the wind. I think I missed several notes every time...but thought Id be brave and put it up so maybe someone would be able to tell me what and how to improve.

Thanks guys - I was obsessed for almost 1 whole year, playing at least 1 hour a night for 4-5 nights, Loved it!.... but then I put it down for 3 years, had family stuff going on, and I had some joint things going on - my hands were a bit of a mess for a while.
Coming back and just relearning stuff. I'm back working through fiddlerman etudes and bowing then onto 3rd position, I hope! Theres a couple notes I think I miss each time, and it seems to sound a bit better on the recording than I thought it sounded.....(maybe the backing song is helping) but I pretty much feel confident in my first position.
I love playing along to stuff as I didn't learn any music growing up and I think I have bad timing issues.
Onward to practice!
