Hi!!

Your great comments encouraged me to share the 2nd piece that I have to play to my teacher on Saturday.

And as always, video with special effects, it's fun lol

Coming on well.

Can I ask where you got the slow piano accompaniment from? The track that comes with the Suzuki book goes 100mph and I struggle to keep up with it.

very good.  enjoyed watching.  like the sectioms where you give the extra lift as youre playing up scale first one around :10 or :11 seconds in..  goes with the effect theme in the video.  great job.  i think youre ready!

@Jim_Dunleavy,  Yes of course ! If you get the audio file and play it with a phone app like "music speed changer". It's great as an app.

Thanks @maudmaud - after reading your post I went into audacity & that can do it as well, so I've made a 10% slower audio file for that one.

I'll probably do that for all the fast ones in Book 4, because some of them look very daunting (I've only tried the Seitz and the exercises at the front so far). From what you've posted on here so far, you're well on the way through it, so well done!

Thanks🙂

I have always found that the suzuki accompanying audios are crazy too fast lol and that can put us in a situation of failure, whereas succeeding in playing a piece well, more slowly, is rewarding for the student, especially for the adult beginner who does not have the ambition to become a soloist and who plays for pleasure.

@maudmaud -

Wonderful, light & expressive playing!

Your hard work and practice shows - seems you found a good teacher!

I think you should be very proud of yourself!

Thank you for sharing this.

@elcbk et @Mark thanks😊

So, this piece has been validated! 🥳🥳🥳

Although a little tense and less relaxed than on the video, but it's good!

Good work! Your intonation is very solid.

I tend to believe that, as long as it feels right, it's the right tempo. A tempo marking is a mood, not a speed.

@maudmaud  Great playing! Nice, solid work on the 16th notes – you play them much smoother than I did when I worked on this Seitz. Love the video effects, too! smile
