Just another goofy fiddle playing video with some footage of well travelled and known paths. But it was fun making and working on.

Absolutely stunning!
Yep.
LOVED taking this beautiful little music journey through the woods. I can't imagine how you are going to be able to top this one - you picked a good song for it, your playing & visuals are perfect together!
Open this one up for comments on YT, Greg... seriously!

thanks @elcbk ! worked on this one for several days. The main melody not so hard to pick out. the phrasing with the actual words is close but not exact or crisp. guitar fairly straightforward in concept. 4 chords. the picking and strum rhythm took some work.
The one thing i never was able to get like i wanted is the la-la-la -la-la-la -la-la response part right after a main line in the verses. its off i know. if anyone has a suggestion on that particular part post so i can rest it already. 🥵 feels incomplete.
another last minute adjustment i did and overcorrected was turning the drum and claps down which is a big part of their original recording. oh well.
anyway thanks! Im happy posting just here if thats ok.

The response part of the original starts VERY close to the lyrics! I've been learning about "Microrhythms" - shifting the beat (early) a small amount, so bare with me I'm just listening. The 'response' starts almost on top of the end of the 'call' - it sounds rushed, so maybe an early triplet within the time of one beat? It's easiest for me to count the original as 1+2+1+2+, with the triplet 'la's' falling on the '+'.
Also, the contrast between the original 'call' & 'response' is very pronounced. You could look at altering the dynamics of it a little, or the voicing, for more contrast.
...still sounded great the way you did it!

@elcbk thanks. cant make mind up if its D,d,d- c#,c#,c# -b,b,b. or maybe that last 3 is b,c#,b. think i did b,b,c# ( and knowing me is was between c and c#-ish 😉 or maybe even possibly b,b, d
ill have to see later.
think im gonna try and tackle appaloosa bones next. great time to try vibrato more.

Oh jeez, I hear D for the 1st triplet, C# for the 2nd, back up to D - but I also hear B in that last 'la.la.la' chord they're using in the original & think it would sound great, too! Seems the original has MANY layers - doesn't exactly make it easy. 🥴
Isn't it typical for some layers to be off a little - making it more complex? Jordan Hamilton talked a lot about layering during his 'Beats & Songwriting Cello' workshop at Fiddle Hell - did you catch it?
Btw, I only listened with crappy old laptop speakers, no headphones.
