Have you tried playing it with some 2 1 slurs? You may enjoy the result more. If you like, send me a scanned version of the sheets if you have them and I'll give you my bowing suggestions.

Thanks for the full title, RFG. I googled "Oso" and only came up with this Disney cartoon character, Special Agent Oso.

No problem, occasionally slur the first 2 down and play the third note up. It' becomes obvious as you test this and you will figure out where that bowing sounds the best. :)
If nothing else, you can find some variation with that bowing from time to time.
