It’s officially 8 months of learning the violin. This song has challenging string crossing but I think I am getting the hang of it. Thought I would share the video of how it looks when it’s not perfect. https://youtu.be/ybLGBGtCoO4

I am so impressed by your level after such short time!
You play it very well I think. I had played for twice as long as you before I got to this piece in Suzuki book 2 and I had rather big problems with some of the slurring where you change string along the slur (or whatever it is called in english). So I think I know exactly what you mean with the challenging string crossings here (I suppose that is one of the things that this piece is meant for).
Also your intonation is quite good.
