You are probably right mouse, sometimes, for me trying to do a few different ones at the same time is too much.
Mark thanks for taking a look and the comment as well, its always appreciated.
Abitrusty, thanks for your more than generous comment, extremely nice of you, I need the encouragement as I have been struggling lately with a lot of things, fiddle takes my mind of stuff;)

@stringy -
What a wonderful surprise to find when I logged in! 🤗
Sounded great - I enjoyed listening!
There's some crazy names in that tunebook, but this name is sure perfect for a fiddle tune! One of the 1st ones that caught my eye was something like 'Chicken With a Broken Leg' (Broken-legged Chicken, Northumbrian Minstrelsy). 🤣 I still haven't looked at all the tunes, yet - did see some that reminded me I haven't played them in a while. 😣

Thanks Emily, the reason I looked at this one was the name, and I have in the last hour found it on the session as well, there are loads of different names for it on there, there are also lyrics as well believe it or not its a song, the lyrics are quite dark but also funny in an Irish way, really appreciate that post, I had never even heard of waifs and strays.

I've found many tunes have had lyrics put to them at some time - so doesn't surprise me. ...and any extra info I can associate with a tune helps me remember it.
Yeah, I had only heard of O'Neill's other 2, Ed Reavy's - I'd already posted a pdf of the whole book (nicer to hear midi, now), and of course I know about the Playford volumes... NOT familiar with any of the other collections! I'm really excited about the French & Quebecois tunes.
I like doing a quick check on The Session and the Traditional Tune Archive for info, or cross reference.
Glad you are finding tunes you like - it can sure help with motivation!
