Hi all,

Here is my attempt to play along, by ear, with an audio track of a tune called Sackett's Harbor. I did some search for it but found no information nor sheet music. The tune structure/tempo resemble that of a hornpipe form.

It's rough as I've been at it for just a few hours, and my newly replaced Zyex strings are too bright, not breaking in yet.

In case some of our members like to learn the tune, the head of our Music Transcription Department has been working vigorously for a score and it's on its way. ETA is about a few minutes, unless it...pedals across.

I've never heard that song before - that was beautiful!  Good job!

Ratvn.. your accuracy is picking up quite a bit with all these up tempo songs  you are  posting.  Good for you. Keep up the good work and keep posting. I don't know these songs and it is a treat to hear.

You can notice your progress right?  Good job Bud!

Great job ratvn.
Zyex strings break in quickly so tomorrow you should be much happier with the sound or it's not what your fiddle needs. Different instruments like different strings.

Yes, Captain. You're absolutely right. It got much better after two days or so, and my violin sounds so sweet now. I don't think it's ever been this lovely, but will give it a few more days to tame down the E string a bit more.

Thanks FM for the recommendation of Zyex.

thumbs-up
