Let me look at the link, I may have done something wrong. If I right click and select open in new tab it works. hmmm,
Or it is my nuclear powered mute!

Great for sharing you guys but instead of sharing on this thread go back to re-read Fiddlerman's original post. Use this "Share a Video" forum but start a new topic for your video and audio uploads. That way we can focus on the uploads for each of us to get positive and constructive feedback instead of many of us on the same thread where comments will get blurred on whom we are talking about.

I'm not disagreeing, but I don't see why this topic shouldn't work.
The main topic is SHARE A VIDEO with sub-title SHARE A VIDEO OF YOURSELF PLAYING. Then there are 3 places to actually post:

What distinction would you make in having another topic ? Is"progress" the confusing word?

Actually it really doesn't matter but mgn was referring to my original post on this thread. This is what I had written. Though I was not very clear I must say.
This is the right place to share your progress. Choose the add a new topic icon and begin sharing your progress. If you want others to benefit from the critique given to you just post your video.
If you want to post yourself and receive constructive criticism privately, indicate that you would like your advice to be given via a PM.
If you just want to post yourself to share your performance without receiving constructive criticism please mention that in your post.
What I meant to say was that we could have a new topic for each person. But I don't mind either way. Anything works for me.

Yeah, that's all I mean and how I took the original post. I think it would be much more helpful to have a sub category to upload our violin progress for each of us.

OK. I can go with the flow but many will go to the SHARE A VIDEO group simply because it seems right. I can imagine a lot of intermingling. Something has to give ??
In any case it might be questionable if changes are in order. There certainly has not been a stampede of videos today so maybe we should wait to see the traffic.
Having individual places for each member would probably minimize the off-topic chat ?

Right, "Share a Video" then instead of growing this thread to confusion... just share yourself by creating a new thread of yourself. Easy, simple. How can we compliment and give feedback to each others violin progress on one thread?

I don't want to cause a riot, but I think the question has been asked before about having a dedicated Youtube page for forum members, so we can upload in one place and each have the link to the page. Even though this forum is meant for that purpose, many people aren't using it, myself included, because their videos are appropriate for the forum they're in at the time.
I've spent hours dredging the forums for a video I know I've seen, but can't remember where it was posted, and there are videos uploaded in all the forums.
Perhaps 'members only' using a password, obtainable on registration at Fiddlerman.com.
Just my thoughts … my ageing brain is having problems sorting information, and I'm always searching for others' contributions.
If you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.
