Here is my version of this very beautiful piece that @Jim Dunleavy presented to us. I immediately fell in love with this. ❤️ Thank you so much for the link to sheet music and accompaniment!

I’m not 100% happy with my intonation, but I try to be gracious to myself because I have just started practicing pieces where I have to use the thumb position. This piece is actually excellent to work with it! 👍🏻 And recording really helps to point out where more practice is needed. So this is how far I got in a couple of days, I will definitely continue practicing this. I like peaceful and melodic pieces like this so much!

That is beautiful, Ilona - very impressed with your progress!

You really bring out the best of that cello.

When do you plan to get your new cello?

Thank you for sharing this!

Thank you, Emily! ❤️
About the new cello, I don’t know, probably not untill next autumn. It also depends on the covid-19 situation, because usually my teacher has been looking for new cellos from Germany. But I have to ask him, what should we do now.

Indeed it's a beautiful piece and you play it remarkably – all the more if you have practiced it just a few days ! (and as I missed Jim Dunleavy's post, I'm going to thank you for doing this video)

I'm putting it on my to-play-list. Rather, I'm starting a to-play-list (I don't actually have one at the moment) and putting this song on it. Should sound well enough with a viola too…

Thank you everybody! 😍

@wtw To-play-list is a great idea! I have that kind of list too. It’s quite long...🤪 Some of the pieces on my list are absolutely too difficult for me yet, but I like to have them on my list so I won’t forget them. 😊
