BRAVO @billyg! Ill give it 4 out of 5 Kilts!seriously..enjoyed listening and it sounded great.
ROFL @ABitRusty - 4 out of 5 kilts - dude, you are just too kind !!!!!
Yeah - I got close to what I wanted, without the camera, yeah, it would not have had that minor intonation issue, and the totally fluffed note I played through, pretending it was intended ! Without the camera on me, it would have been the full-on 5-kilts-award brother !!!!! LOLOL
TY Greg !

BillyG - 🥰oooooh! Had me sway'n!
Starting to wonder if it would do any good to try a video camera 24/7 (or could pretending be enough) - just for us to be able to come closer to playing like we practice...

Yeah, interesting, Emily. We used to run live-stream shows on StreetJelly (http://www.streetjelly.com). The get-togethers were originally stared by @Barry, back in late 2014. These "FiddleFest" events were run annually - as well as other impromptu get-togethers, such as the "Strings on Sunday" regular weekly(ish) slots. These events were great for getting folks past the fear of the red-record-light on the webcam !!!! Sadly, these get-togethers seem to have run their course - but we occasionally have someone still just jump-on and do a show. You can read about it here -https://fiddlerman.com/forum/s.....reetjelly/
And, out of passing interest - I did a SJ show in support of the annual "Play Music on the Porch Day 2018"- and recorded the entire session, showing exactly how it looks from both the player, and audience perspective. SJ is NOT like Zoom or Skype, and basically it allows one video stream, and a separate text stream for audience chat - you'll find it here -
Hahahaha - you can tell, I'm trying hard to "sell the idea" and maybe re-kindle some interest in SJ get-togethers on the forum !
To be honest, the biggest issue I have with SJ is the time-zone difference, with the bulk of artists being states-side and me in the UK. It's not easy really (for me) on that score alone - the first FiddleFest event in 2014 started at 4pm Central (that would have been my 9 or 10pm) - but - it was hugely well attended, and ran (in my timezone) till 3:30am the following day !!!!

I am, at times, envious. Because of slow dialup I am unable to participate in streetJelly or see your videos.
@MrYikes - oh, I know the feeling, trust me. We are, in our rural area beset with "broadband" issues. When we lived on the west coast, yes, we had "broadband" but it was 512k. Impossible to stream youtube or anything - well, it would stream, but, continually pause.
And once, on a SJ show (with my 512K broadband) there was NO indication that the stream (my outgoing stream) had hung- I spent 30 minutes, playing to no-one !!!!!
And, yes, I know, dial-up is even worse, and will simply time-out and give-up-the-ghost. Oddly enough, 6 months before we moved across country to a house on the east (where travel connections are SO much easier for us in our older years) - the "Scottish Broadband Rollout" passed through our village ( Scourie ). So, yes, we were still copper-connected to the exchange, but, the exchange was only 1/2 a mile away - suddenly, 60Mbps !!!! YAYYYYYY, YIPPEEEE
Anyway, we really wanted to move. So over to the east coast. Yup, broadband rollout to the local exchange had already happened. Sadly though, we're now 4 miles over copper away from the exchange - result - 2Mbps if we are lucky, but, yes, it is useable (unless Debbie starts watching something at the same time, oh, it causes friction!!!!)
Just a passing thought MrYikes - how would your connection work for a download from say Google Drive ? You still wouldn't be able to stream, but the connection may be "forgiving enough" to allow a download ( like, at your dial-up speed of 9600 or 19200 baud etc it might take 20 minutes (guessing, but probably not far off) to fetch a 3 or 5 minute video). Then you could view it. Dunno? Alsodepends on your dial up account, if it's "fixed price" or you pay by the amount of data, so yes, there would be other considerations.
I know you've mentioned this before, and I'd be happy to post stuff to Google Drive or DropBox etc for you ! Let me know what you think!

Thank you for your thoughts, but I have 3k speed. I can drive to the local school and sit in the parking lot to download stuff since there are no kids in school now, but if the kids were there, someone would get nervous about an old man sitting in his car around the school. ha. It is what it is and I'm too old to worry about it anymore, though to be truthful, my wife doesn't seem to mind if I go away.

Any way you can take an active role in gaining better broadband access in your area? Like petitioning your Town Council or something?
Just a thought.
sooo depressing... if we still had Dial-up in our house, I doubt if I'd be using the computer at all... wouldn't have found all the wonderful reasons (from watching YouTube videos) to play or even buy my violin! I might even still be paying my bills by check/mail (sorry, there's a chuckle here).
When PC's originally came out (really laughing here) I remember thinking "these things are just as fickle as humans". I told my "Better Half", "I don't want anything to do with these computers until they come up with one like on STAR TREK".
Well, they ARE like on "Star Trek" now.
Sorry you're not able to take advantage of "Smart" phones or "Smart" TV - touch and voice interaction... I'm constantly in awe of what's now available.
I'm not one to just jump out and buy up new tech, but we've had good broadband service in our area for a long time.

I had ck'd out the SJ thread little while back & think it's a VERY worthwhile venue!
Unfortunately, I am not able to commit to anything live right now (just some health issues I hope to resolve).
I sincerely hope you can recruit more support for SJ!
Love hearing/seeing you play!
