I attended a Natalie MacMaster concert for the first time a couple days ago and it was probably one of the most amazing/exciting concerts I've ever been to in my life. So, in honor of her amazing musical ability and the brilliant concert she performed, I decided to learn and post one of of my favorites that she plays. It's called the Silver Spear.
If you haven't heard of her or haven't listened to her music, I seriously recommend looking her up. She has been one of my biggest musical idols for years and I have learned so much by listening to her CD's and videos.
But anyway, this video is my attempt to match her rendition of that tune. I hope you enjoy!!

FiddleStix- thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
I'm in the same boat with you, KindaScratchy. Her music gives me the inspiration and drive to keep learning/playing all the time.
I know that I'll be trying to go back to her concerts to see her again as soon as possible. I'm jealous that you've been able to see her so many times!!
I actually posted Eternal Friendship on my channel a while back, it's super beautiful!

Natalie plays sooo many tunes that it would be hard for me to pick a favorite. But a few of the great ones on youtube are, of course, her recording of Silver Spear, and also The King George Medley is a good one, along with the Volcanic Jig. Just look up all those names on YouTube and they should come up.
Thank you all!

I just learned this song today. Natalie played it at the concert I went to and this video is all that I could gather from memory/a short video clip of the end of the song. I don't know what the name of it is but I think it's absolutely beautiful. Does anyone know the name of this tune?

Yeah, I did learn most all of this stuff aurally. I do use sheet music when I'm desperate or when I can't figure something out, but I don't like to.
I'm not the best at sight reading music, so I almost always try to learn/memorize tunes by ear.
